Rockville Chiropractor Dr. Katherine Kadin

Rockville Chiropractor

"Doctor after doctor told me I would be disfigured for life..."

Dr. Kat discovered her passion for chiropractic wellness after breaking her collar bone in a rugby match. She sought medical intervention from surgeons, physicians, and physical therapists all of whom told her that her only option to repair her collarbone was surgery, or she would be permanently disfigured. Finally on the advice of a friend, Dr. Kat made an appointment with a local chiropractor. “She saved my collar bone,” she says, “and chiropractic changed my life. Now I am dedicated to introducing others to this amazing healing art that frees the body to heal itself.”

Dr. Kat graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in psychobiology. She continued her education at West Boca Medical Center, working in their Postpartum Ward and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. After completing her undergraduate degree, and continuing to heal her collar bone, Dr. Kat discovered a new calling with chiropractic. She pursued her studies at Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, GA, where she graduated Cum Laude as a Doctor of Chiropractic.

After her first few years of practice in Richmond, Virginia, Dr Kat moved to Rockville to continue to pursue her dream of helping to heal those around her.

Chiropractic for Expectant Mothers and Children

Her passion for working with expectant mothers and babies has led her to become one of the only chiropractors in the area educated in Webster Technique, a gentle, specific technique designed especially to relieve the causes of intra-uterine constraint during pregnancy. In order to advance her mission of helping as many children and families as possible reach their fullest health potential, Dr. Kat is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is currently pursuing her advanced diplomate in Pediatric Chiropractic

Dr. Kat knows that how we treat our bodies directly affects our level of wellness. “I am blessed each day to help men, women, and children express their truest health potential,” she says. She is committed to helping everyone choose a vital, enthusiastic approach to health through Family Wellness Chiropractic Care.

On a Personal Note...

She is married to Thad and they enjoy an active lifestyle of running, biking, Pilates and swimming. They are dedicated to living the philosophy of chiropractic wellness and tending to their bodies, minds, and souls. They are also active members of their local parish church community. Along with their regular chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Kat and Thad pursue their goal of total wellness through training for and participating in triathlons in the mid-Atlantic region.

Dr. Kat Asks some important questions of interest to Rockville residents - Chiropractor Rockville Dr. Kat Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Can babies with colic be helped with chiropractic?
It's probably one of the times a parent feels the most helpless. But based on the research, chiropractic and colic relief appear to go hand in glove. With success rates in the mid-90% range, more and more Rockville parents are seeing a chiropractor. If you have a baby with colic learn how chiropractic may help.
